Dear Runda Resident
Isnt it lovely that, after 30 years of a very bumpy road, we can now have a smooth ride on the Ruaka Road!
This development has been made possible through the co-operation of the Runda Association (RA), Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan and the Nairobi City Council. The RA has been persistent in trying to have the road re-carpeted. In order to have the complete works on this road, residents along Ruaka Road are requested to co-operate with the contractor during the construction period.Still on development, Wananchi Online (Zuku providers) will be in the Estates soon to install fiber cables along the KPLC lines which will provide triple play (internet, TV and telephone) more details on these services will be communicated to you soon.The Northern Bypass issue has refused to go and may grace this page many more times in future.
We have managed to block access onto and off the bypass. However there have been many attempts by some innovative motorists to open the same. As the road is almost complete, the contractor has promised to seal all the access roads hopefully soon. Should for any reason the contractor fails to do so, we as the RA will ensure to carry it through ourselves.
As I have informed you in the previous issues of the newsletter,Late Prof. Wangari Mathai the tree planting project is still on.
I am appealing to all residents to honor thewho did so much to conserve the environment and was in fact one of the persons involved in tree planting on the now Northern Bypass.
